WELCOME TO CCFAY
What To Expect
Calvary Chapel is a non-denominational church movement focused on the inerrancy of the Bible and the expository teaching from Genesis to Revelation. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His image through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor do we oppose denominations, only their over-emphasis of doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ.
Worship
We believe worship is our grateful response to God’s grace, as we exalt Christ, glorify the Father. When we gather, we sing together—the truth of Scripture voiced as “psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs… giving thanks to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 5:19–20). Our desire is simple: to exalt Christ and glorify God in all things. We intentionally prioritize congregational singing with songs rooted in God’s Word and accessible to all, so that as we lift our voices as one body, our hearts are formed by truth, stirred by grace, and drawn in deeper devotion to Jesus.
The Lord’s Day & Congregational Singing
We treasure the Lord’s Day as the weekly gathering of God’s people. All our ministries flow from the Lord’s Day because it is the day set apart for worship, fellowship, and renewing our hearts in Christ (Revelation 1:9). After the preaching of the Word and our regular musical worship, we conclude with intentional congregational singing — a dedicated moment when instruments step back and the voices of God’s people are heard together in unified praise. This distinct time highlights the beauty of the gathered church lifting one voice to Christ.

Preaching
Here at Calvary, we preach the Bible verse by verse and chapter by chapter, unfolding the full counsel of God. We hold Scripture to be inerrant, infallible, and entirely sufficient. Our aim is to be faithful to God’s revelation in Scripture, recognizing it as the sure foundation for all Christian belief and practice. As we journey through whole books of the Bible, we behold Christ as the center of all Scripture and depend on the Holy Spirit to illumine the truth, transform the heart, and conform us to His likeness. We affirm expositional preaching — the right study and proclamation of the Bible verse-by-verse and chapter-by-chapter — so that God’s people may hear the full counsel of God.
Membership
At Calvary Chapel Fellowship, membership is expressed as believers covenanting together under the authority of Christ and His Word. The Congregational Connect Class is our formal expression of membership, helping believers understand who we are as a church and how we seek to live out gospel community. New members are encouraged to become familiar with our doctrine and beliefs — including the Calvary Chapel distinctives, our bylaws, and constitution — so that we may walk together in unity. From there, members joyfully share in the life of the body through regular gathering, serving, encouraging one another, and growing in Christ.
Polity
Calvary Chapel is a congregation under the headship of Christ, administered by a plurality of biblically qualified elders who provide spiritual oversight. The lead pastor serves by leading the elders, who together shepherd, guide, and care for the body. Deacons serve the body by attending to the practical and physical needs of the congregation, enabling the elders to devote themselves to prayer and the ministry of the Word. The congregation participates actively in the life and ministry of the church; however, final governing responsibility rests with the elders. Our fellowship is autonomous and self-governed, submitting to the authority of Scripture in all matters of faith and practice.
Tithe /Offering
We believe it is a privilege and sacred responsibility for believers to participate in the Lord’s work through cheerful and faithful giving (2 Cor. 9:6–8). Scripture teaches that tithes and offerings are an act of worship and a tangible expression of spiritual obedience to God, supporting the ministry of the local church and the advance of the gospel (1 Cor. 9:13–14). While we do not pass a plate during services, we provide two offering boxes on campus, as well as online giving, so that worshipers may present their tithes and offerings unto the Lord with gratitude and sincerity.
Biblical Theology
We believe that Holy Scripture is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16–17; 2 Pet. 1:19–21). Because the Bible is God-breathed, it stands as the Church’s final and sufficient authority in all matters of faith and godliness. Biblical theology seeks to trace the unified storyline of Scripture as it unfolds progressively from Genesis to Revelation, revealing God’s sovereign purpose to redeem a people for Himself through the person and work of Jesus Christ (Luke 24:27; Eph. 1:7–10).
All of Scripture is centered on Christ—His incarnation, sinless life, atoning death, victorious resurrection, and future return. We therefore interpret every passage in light of the gospel and within the unfolding framework of creation, fall, redemption, and consummation. Because the Bible is sufficient and coherent, we endeavor to teach it systematically and expositionally, trusting the Spirit to illuminate the truth and transform God’s people.
As a Calvary Chapel fellowship with Biblical convictions, we joyfully affirm God’s sovereign grace in salvation, the centrality of Christ in all Scripture, and the ongoing work of the Spirit to conform believers to the image of Christ. Thus, our worship, our preaching, and our practice are shaped by the Word, that the church may be anchored in sound doctrine, equipped for every good work, and stirred to holiness and mission to the glory of God.
